11 Tips To Reduce Anxiety Around Theme Park Crowds

At Bliss Wellness Market, we are only 15 minutes from Busch Gardens and just an hour and a half from Disney, SeaWorld, and Universal – so we are no strangers to theme parks!

Theme parks are a blast for most people, full of adventure and excitement. But let’s face it, if you visit a park during the summer, chances are it will be a long, hot, and crowded day.

Visiting parks can be overwhelming. But rest assured, Bliss has you covered with some simple tips to deal with theme park crowds so you can relax and make incredible memories on your vacation.

Calming the mind and body in public can look like:
  1. Deep breathing techniques that you have practiced at home.
  2. Know how to set your boundaries and step away from a triggering environment into a quiet area. Escape to the “baby care” area for calm and quiet – both men & women are welcome there.
  3. Using headphones to listen to a calming song, or using ear plugs.
  4. Ask for a hug or the hand of a loved one.
  5. Simply sit down and relax from any fatigue.
  6. Stay hydrated.
  7. Plan a sit down meal in the AC and relax.
  8. Get plenty of sleep
  9. Don’t skip your medicines  – make sure to keep taking them at your regular time, even on vacation.
  10. Have some sort of mantra you can say to yourself: “I am relaxed and calm no matter what occurs around me.” While you can’t prevent all chaos, you can control your reactions during the experience.
  11. Take a gummy –  Bliss has both CBD and THC gummies which can relax the mind and body.
